King Mohammed VI of Morocco has acquired a historic mansion at 20 Avenue Emile-Deschanel in Paris's 7th arrondissement. The property, known as the Hôtel de la Païva, was previously owned by a member of the Saudi royal family, Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the governor of Tabuk province.

The transaction, finalized in late 2025, was reported by French real estate publication 'La Tribune de l'Immobilier' and confirmed by other property news outlets. The sale price was not officially disclosed, but the property's estimated value is reported to be in the tens of millions of euros.

The mansion is a classified historic monument, built in the 19th century and once owned by the famous courtesan La Païva. It features expansive grounds and is located in one of Paris's most prestigious districts. The acquisition adds to the significant real estate portfolio held by the Moroccan royal family in France.

The purchase is viewed as a strategic investment in prime Parisian real estate. The Moroccan royal palace has not issued an official statement regarding the transaction, which is considered a private financial matter.
