Morocco's Competition Council has granted its approval for the acquisition of milling group Forafric Global by the investment firm Cap Holding. The regulatory body announced the decision on April 17, 2026, concluding its review of the proposed transaction.
Forafric is a major player in the Moroccan and African agri-food sector, specializing in flour milling and grain processing. Cap Holding is a Moroccan investment company with a diversified portfolio. The approval allows the deal to proceed, pending any other standard closing conditions.
The council stated that its analysis found the transaction would not harm competition within the relevant markets. It determined the operation would not create or strengthen a dominant position or hinder competition in the flour and grain sector.
This acquisition is seen as a significant consolidation move within Morocco's strategic agri-food industry. It follows Cap Holding's increased stake in Forafric over recent years, moving towards full ownership.
