The Montreal Victoire captured their first Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) championship on May 20, 2026, defeating the Toronto Charge 4-2 in Game 4 of the Walter Cup Finals. The game was held at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec.
Forward Marie-Philip Poulin scored the game-winning goal in the second period, while goaltender Ann-RenΓ©e Desbiens made 28 saves to secure the victory. The Victoire won the best-of-five series 3-1.
The Walter Cup, named after PWHL advisory board member and tennis legend Billie Jean King, was awarded for the first time in league history. The PWHL launched its inaugural season in January 2024.
