Mizzou's performance surpassed its previous best finish of 7th place, achieved in 2023. The team was led by sophomore golfer Julia Vollmer, who tied for 12th individually with a 54-hole score of 3-under par 213.
The Tigers advanced to the match-play quarterfinals, where they fell to eventual champion Stanford. Head coach Caroline Westrup praised the team's resilience and growth throughout the season.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for the program, which has been steadily improving under Westrup's leadership since she took over in 2021.
