Michelob Ultra has been named the official beer of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to an announcement by Anheuser-Busch InBev. The partnership, confirmed in early 2026, marks a shift from Budweiser, which had been the official beer of the tournament since 1986.
The deal covers the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Michelob Ultra, a low-calorie lager, will be the exclusive beer brand available at stadiums and official fan zones across the three host nations.
Financial terms of the sponsorship were not disclosed, but industry analysts estimate the deal is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The agreement also includes marketing rights for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027.
