The MICHELIN Guide has announced its 2026 selection of MICHELIN Keys for hotels in the Middle East, Africa and India. According to the announcement, 189 hotels across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Morocco, Egypt, South Africa and India received the MICHELIN Key distinction.
Nine hotels were awarded the highest honour of Three MICHELIN Keys. The MICHELIN Keys are a relatively new distinction introduced by the Guide to recognise outstanding hotels, similar to how MICHELIN Stars recognise restaurants. The selection aims to highlight establishments that offer exceptional experiences in design, service, character and value.
The 2026 list covers a wide geographic area, reflecting the growing importance of the hospitality sector in these regions. The inclusion of countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Morocco underscores the Middle East and North Africa's rising profile as a destination for luxury and boutique travel.
