MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis men's basketball head coach Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway announced the addition of two transfers to the program on Wednesday, April 16, 2026. The new signees are guard Brandin Cummings and forward Rihards Vavers.
Cummings, a 6-foot-3 guard, joins the Tigers after playing his freshman season at the University of Pittsburgh. He is originally from Midland, Pennsylvania. Vavers, a 6-foot-8 forward, transfers to Memphis after spending his freshman year at the University of Washington. He is a native of Latvia.
