Jorge Martin converted pole position into a commanding victory in the British Grand Prix sprint at Silverstone on Saturday, extending his lead in the MotoGP standings. The Spaniard led every lap of the 10-lap race, finishing ahead of his Aprilia teammates.
Aprilia secured a 1-2-3 finish, with Martin's teammates following him across the line. Marc Marquez, who had been expected to challenge, struggled and finished outside the top positions.
The win increases Martin's championship advantage over his rivals as the season progresses. The full British Grand Prix is scheduled for Sunday.
