At the 18th edition of the Salon International de l'Agriculture au Maroc (SIAM), held from April 21 to 26, 2026, in Meknès, Maroc Telecom unveiled a new generation of Agritech solutions aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of the agricultural sector. The group presented innovations including IoT sensors for soil monitoring, drone-based crop analysis, and a digital platform for farm management.
According to Maroc Telecom's press release, these solutions are designed to help farmers optimize water usage, improve crop yields, and reduce operational costs. The company emphasized its commitment to supporting Morocco's agricultural strategy, which seeks to modernize the sector through technology.
The SIAM 2026 event, themed 'Agriculture and Human Capital: Levers for Sustainable Development,' brought together over 1,000 exhibitors from 70 countries. Maroc Telecom's booth attracted significant attention, with demonstrations of real-time data collection and analysis tools.
This initiative aligns with Morocco's broader digital transformation goals, as outlined in the 'Digital Morocco 2030' strategy. The Agritech solutions are expected to be commercially available later this year, with pilot projects already underway in several regions.
