Maroc Telecom reported a 5% increase in consolidated revenue for the first quarter of 2026, driven by strong performance from its Moov Africa subsidiary, fiber optic expansion, and mobile data services. The company announced the results on April 24, 2026.
Revenue reached approximately 9.2 billion Moroccan dirhams (about $900 million), up from 8.8 billion dirhams in the same period last year. The growth was fueled by a 12% rise in data revenue and a 15% increase in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) subscriptions, which now total over 1.2 million.
Moov Africa, the group's sub-Saharan African operations, contributed significantly with a 7% revenue increase, driven by mobile money and data services in markets like CΓ΄te d'Ivoire, Mali, and Burkina Faso. The subsidiary now accounts for 35% of group revenue.
In Morocco, the company added 200,000 new fiber subscribers in Q1, bringing the total to 1.5 million. Mobile data usage grew 25% year-on-year, supported by network investments. Maroc Telecom's CEO said the results reflect the success of the group's digital transformation strategy.
