President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has issued proclamations declaring special non-working days in Pulilan, Bulacan, and Butuan City for their respective festivals in May 2026.
Under Proclamation No. 1213, May 14, 2026, is declared a special non-working day in the municipality of Pulilan in observance of the Carabao Festival. The proclamation, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on April 15, 2026, aims to give residents the full opportunity to celebrate the event.
Separately, Proclamation No. 1214 declares May 19, 2026, as a special non-working day in Butuan City for the celebration of its Adlaw Hong Butuan (Butuan Day) festival. This proclamation was also signed by Bersamin on April 15, 2026.
The proclamations state that declaring these days as special non-working holidays will allow the people of Pulilan and Butuan to participate more meaningfully in their festivities.
