A man has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service in connection with a house fire in Kumasi. The suspect, identified as Patrick Agyemang Yeboah, is alleged to have set his wife's residence ablaze.

The incident, reported in early April 2026, is said to have stemmed from the man's suspicion that his wife was involved in an extramarital affair with a man based in the United Kingdom, colloquially referred to as a 'borga'.

Police confirmed the arrest and that the suspect is in custody assisting with investigations. No injuries were reported from the fire, though property damage was sustained.

Such cases are typically handled under Ghana's criminal laws relating to arson and domestic disputes. Authorities continue to investigate the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
