Malaysian immigration authorities have detained 15 individuals, including 14 Chinese nationals and one local man, in connection with the use of counterfeit documents for visa applications. The arrests were made in Kuala Lumpur following an enforcement operation.
According to a verified report from the Malaysian Immigration Department, the suspects were held for using fake Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program stickers as supporting documents to apply for United States visas. The MM2H program is a long-term residency scheme for foreigners.
The department stated that the operation targeted syndicates involved in producing and using fraudulent immigration documents. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the network.
This case highlights ongoing efforts by Malaysian authorities to combat immigration fraud. The use of fake documents to obtain visas for other countries is a serious offence under Malaysian law.
