ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Orlando Magic defeated the Detroit Pistons 110-96 on Monday night to take a 3-1 lead in their first-round playoff series. The Magic are now one win away from advancing to the second round for the first time since 2010.
Desmond Bane led the Magic with 22 points, while Franz Wagner added 19 points in three quarters. Paolo Banchero contributed 18 points and 7 rebounds. The Magic shot 48% from the field and held the Pistons to 42% shooting.
The Pistons were led by Cade Cunningham with 24 points and 8 assists. Jaden Ivey added 18 points. Detroit struggled from three-point range, hitting only 8 of 30 attempts (27%).
Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday in Detroit. The Magic can close out the series and become the first No. 8 seed to defeat a No. 1 seed since 2023.
