New Zealand Formula 1 driver Liam Lawson has addressed speculation about his future with Racing Bulls, stating it is 'early days' amid rumours he could lose his seat at the end of the 2026 season.
Speaking to media ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix, Lawson said he remains focused on his current performance and is not distracted by reports linking F2 driver Nikola Tsolov to a potential Red Bull seat. The rumours originated from Spanish outlet SoyMotor, but no official confirmation has been made by Red Bull or Racing Bulls.
Lawson, who made his F1 debut in 2024, has scored points in several races this season. Team principal Laurent Mekies has publicly supported the driver, emphasizing that performance will determine the lineup for 2027.
