PETALING JAYA: National singles coaching director Kenneth Jonassen has expressed his hope that women's singles shuttlers K. Letshanaa and Wong Ling Ching will break into the world top 30 by the end of 2026, calling it the best gift he could ask for.

Speaking to the media, Jonassen highlighted the progress of both players, who have been training under the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) program. He emphasized that achieving a top-30 ranking would be a significant milestone for the duo, reflecting their hard work and potential.

As of the latest BWF rankings, Letshanaa is ranked 52nd, while Ling Ching is ranked 74th. Jonassen noted that consistent performances in upcoming tournaments will be crucial for their climb.
