The CAN U17 is a key competition for developing young talent and qualifying for the FIFA U17 World Cup.
Morocco was awarded the hosting rights for the 2026 CAN U17 by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in 2025. The tournament is expected to take place across several Moroccan cities, showcasing the country's football infrastructure.
Lekjaa's visit and words of encouragement are part of a broader strategy to strengthen Morocco's youth football programs, following the senior team's historic performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
