The Municipality of Lake Cowichan has completed the replacement of the public dock at Kin Beach Park, a project aimed at improving safety and accessibility for residents and visitors. The aging structure was removed and a new, compliant dock was installed to provide better access to the waterfront for activities like swimming and boating.
According to municipal updates, the project was a priority for the community and was funded through local resources. The work was carried out to meet current safety standards and to enhance the public park's amenities along Cowichan Lake.
The new dock is now open for public use. The municipality has stated that the upgrade is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve local recreational infrastructure for the benefit of the community.
