Kings Quarry, located in New Zealand, has reached full production after a period of development, according to a statement from the company. The quarry's strategic location reduces the need for long-distance transport of materials, resulting in significant environmental and economic benefits.
The quarry cuts approximately 12,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually and saves about $20 million in transport costs each year, said a company representative. These figures are based on the quarry's proximity to major construction projects in the region.
The site was acquired by Semenoff and business partner Andrew Ritchie, who have overseen its development. The quarry now supplies aggregate for local infrastructure projects, supporting regional growth while minimizing environmental impact.
