Khargone police have arrested a member of the notorious Kadiya Sansi gang in connection with a theft of ₹23 lakh from a local residence. The arrest was made on May 15, 2026, following an investigation into the burglary that occurred earlier this month.
According to police officials, the accused was identified as Ramesh Singh, a 34-year-old resident of a neighboring district. Officers recovered ₹18 lakh in cash and gold jewelry worth approximately ₹5 lakh from his possession. The theft had taken place at the home of a businessman in the Sanawad area of Khargone district.
The Kadiya Sansi gang is known for its involvement in multiple burglaries and thefts across Madhya Pradesh. Police have been conducting a special drive to crack down on the gang's activities. The arrested individual is being questioned to gather more information about other members and their operations.
Further investigation is underway, and police are working to trace the remaining stolen items. The local community has expressed relief at the swift action taken by law enforcement.
