Kelsey Mitchell made history on Sunday, August 9, 2026, by scoring at least 20 points for the 10th consecutive game, setting a new Indiana Fever franchise record. The milestone came during the Fever's 92-84 victory over the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Mitchell finished the game with 24 points, shooting 9-of-17 from the field and 4-of-8 from three-point range. She also added 5 assists and 3 rebounds. The previous franchise record of nine straight 20-point games was held by Tamika Catchings, set during the 2006 season.
"It's a blessing to be mentioned in the same breath as Tamika Catchings," Mitchell said after the game. "She's a legend, and I'm just trying to do my part to help this team win."
The Fever improved to 18-15 on the season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. Mitchell's scoring surge has been a key factor in the team's recent success, as they have won six of their last seven games.
"Kelsey has been incredible," said Fever head coach Stephanie White. "Her consistency and leadership have been vital for us. She's playing at an All-WNBA level."
