Katsina State Governor, Dr. Dikko Radda, has commissioned a 152-unit mass housing scheme for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Jibia Local Government Area. The project, valued at several million naira, aims to provide shelter for those affected by banditry in the region.
During the event, the governor also inaugurated Climate Peace Hubs and a solar mini-grid to support the community. Additionally, he released N500 million in grants to assist IDPs in rebuilding their livelihoods.
The housing scheme is part of the state government's broader efforts to address the humanitarian crisis caused by insecurity in Katsina State. The initiative has been welcomed by local leaders and beneficiaries.
