Karachi police have arrested over 738 suspects during a week-long crackdown on crime, according to officials. The operation, which concluded on June 29, 2026, targeted criminal elements across the city, resulting in the recovery of illegal weapons and narcotics.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Karachi, in a statement, confirmed that the arrests were made in various districts, including Korangi, Malir, and Central. The crackdown was part of a broader effort to reduce street crime and improve public safety.
Police recovered 45 pistols, 12 rifles, and a significant quantity of hashish and heroin during the raids. The suspects are being processed for legal proceedings, with many facing charges related to robbery, drug trafficking, and illegal possession of arms.
