Moroccan waterskier Kamil Belmrah was crowned the African champion in men's slalom at the 2025 African Waterski Championships. The event was held at the Kalahari Waterski Club in Gaborone, Botswana, from December 10-14, 2025.
Belmrah secured the gold medal with a winning score of 3 buoys at 10.75 meters off the rope length (41 off). This victory marked a significant achievement, as South African athletes have traditionally dominated the discipline on the continent.
The 2025 championships served as a qualifier for the 2027 World Waterski Championships. Belmrah's performance contributed to the Moroccan team finishing second in the overall national standings at the event.
