Judith Light has joined the cast of the upcoming second season of the Apple TV+ drama series "Presumed Innocent," according to an exclusive report from Variety. The Emmy-winning actress will appear in the new season, which is currently in production.
Light will star alongside previously announced lead Rachel Brosnahan, who takes over the central role from Jake Gyllenhaal. The new season will also feature returning cast members including Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, and Peter Sarsgaard, with Matthew Rhys and Courtney B. Vance joining as new series regulars.
The series is an adaptation of Scott Turow's novel and the subsequent 1990 film. The second season is described as a new, original story within the same universe, focusing on a gripping, suspenseful case. David E. Kelley returns as writer and executive producer, with J.J. Abrams also executive producing through Bad Robot.
An official release date for "Presumed Innocent" Season 2 on Apple TV+ has not yet been announced.
