The Jacksonville Garden Club, a longstanding community organization, is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year. Founded in 1931, the club has been dedicated to promoting gardening, horticulture, and environmental stewardship in the Jacksonville area.
To mark this milestone, the club has announced a new vision focused on expanding community outreach and sustainability initiatives. Plans include increased collaboration with local schools to teach children about gardening and the environment, as well as new projects to beautify public spaces with native plants.
“We are proud of our history and excited about the future,” said a club spokesperson. “Our goal is to inspire the next generation of gardeners and to make Jacksonville a greener, more beautiful place for everyone.”
The club will host a special anniversary event on May 20, 2026, at the Jacksonville Community Center, featuring guest speakers, plant sales, and workshops on sustainable gardening practices.
