The Ivory Coast men's national football team, nicknamed Les Éléphants, have won the first edition of the FIFA Series. The friendly tournament, organized by FIFA, concluded on March 26, 2026, with the host nation defeating Benin 3-0 in the final at the Stade National in the Ivorian capital of Abidjan.
The FIFA Series is a new initiative designed to provide more regular international competition for national teams from different confederations. The March 2026 pilot edition featured 24 teams across six host nations. The Ivory Coast hosted one of the groups, which included Benin, Guyana, and a yet-to-be-verified fourth participant.
According to match reports, the Ivorian victory in the final was decisive. The host team secured the win with goals from Seko Fofana, Christian Kouamé, and Jean-Philippe Krasso. This triumph provides a positive start for the Ivorian squad under coach Emerse Faé as they continue preparations for future competitions.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised the concept, stating the series aims to foster global football development. The success of this inaugural event is expected to lead to a larger, biannual FIFA Series starting in 2028.
