The Ministry of Culture has announced that Iveta Derkusova will assume the position of director of the Latvian National Museum of Art (LNMM) on May 12, 2026. The decision follows a competitive selection process.
According to the ministry, the evaluation commission determined that Derkusova fully meets all the management competencies required for the role. She will succeed the previous director, whose term has ended.
Derkusova brings extensive experience in cultural management. Her appointment is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the museum's leadership and strategic direction.
