Two Italian tourists, aged 24 and 25, were rescued by the Royal Gendarmerie in Morocco after being caught in a cold wave in the mountainous region near Ouarzazate. The incident occurred on May 16, 2026, according to local reports.
The tourists were transferred to the Sidi Hsaine Benacer Provincial Hospital in Ouarzazate for medical treatment. Their condition was not immediately disclosed, but the rescue operation was described as successful.
