An Israeli court has indicted a former Iron Dome air defense system reservist on charges of spying for Iran. The defendant, identified as Raz Cohen, is accused of severe security offenses, including contacting a foreign agent and delivering information to an enemy, according to an indictment filed with the Haifa District Court.

The Shin Bet security service stated that Cohen, who held a security clearance, allegedly used his position to collect and pass sensitive information related to the Iron Dome system and other Israeli security matters to an Iranian intelligence operative over a period of several months. The alleged contact was made through social media platforms.

The indictment details that Cohen, 30, from the northern Israeli town of Nahariya, was arrested in February 2026 following a joint investigation by the Shin Bet and the Israel Police. The charges against him include aggravated espionage, which carries a potential life sentence.

Israeli authorities have emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that security protocols are being reviewed. The case highlights ongoing concerns within Israel's security establishment about espionage threats posed by hostile states.
