Israel is set to release two Gaza-bound humanitarian aid flotilla activists who were detained by Israeli authorities, a rights group has said. Saif Abu Keshek, a Spanish-Palestinian, and Brazilian Thiago Avila will be freed on Saturday, according to the group.
The two activists were part of a flotilla attempting to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza. They were intercepted by Israeli naval forces earlier this week. The rights group did not provide further details on the circumstances of their detention or release.
