The Institute for Research in Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN) is a key Moroccan public institution driving the country's renewable energy strategy. Founded in 2011, its mission is to bridge the gap between research and industrialization in solar power, green hydrogen, and other clean technologies.

IRESEN manages several flagship initiatives, including the Green Energy Park, a research and development platform in Benguerir, and the Green H2A platform dedicated to green hydrogen and its applications. The institute actively funds collaborative R&D projects between universities and industry to develop local technological solutions.

A central part of its mandate is supporting Morocco's goal of sourcing over 52% of its electricity from renewables by 2030. By fostering innovation and industrial partnerships, IRESEN aims to reduce energy imports and enhance the nation's energy sovereignty in a competitive global market for green technology.
