Three people were injured in southern Israel's Negev region on Monday, March 24, 2026, after being struck by fragments from an intercepted Iranian ballistic missile. The incident occurred during a large-scale aerial attack launched by Iran against Israel.

Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services reported treating a man in his 40s for moderate limb injuries. A 26-year-old woman and a two-month-old infant were treated for minor injuries. All three were transported to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva for further care.

The Israeli military confirmed that its air defense systems, including the Arrow system, successfully intercepted the majority of the ballistic missiles launched from Iran. The injuries were caused by falling shrapnel from one of the intercepted projectiles.

The attack marks a significant escalation in regional tensions. Israeli authorities have advised residents in affected areas to remain near protected spaces and follow official instructions.
