The IRGC stated the ship is linked to Israel. Maritime security firms have confirmed an incident involving a container ship in the area.

Separately, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed there was no increase in radiation levels following a separate drone strike on the perimeter of Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant earlier this week, which killed one security guard.
