Indian auto and aerospace supplier Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SAMIL) has highlighted Morocco as a key industrial investment hub in its annual report for 2025-2026, approved on July 10, 2026. The group operates four subsidiaries in Morocco, generating sales of 446 million dirhams (approximately $44 million).
Motherson's Moroccan operations focus on supplying components to European automakers and aircraft manufacturers, leveraging the country's free trade agreements and proximity to Europe. The company's report notes that Morocco is among its top investment destinations globally.
The group's expansion in Morocco aligns with the country's strategy to become a major automotive and aerospace manufacturing base. Motherson's subsidiaries in Morocco include plants producing wiring harnesses, interior trim, and other components for clients such as Renault, Stellantis, and Airbus.
According to the annual report, Motherson's global revenue for 2025-2026 was approximately $12 billion, with Morocco contributing a growing share. The company plans to further invest in Moroccan facilities to increase capacity for electric vehicle components and aerospace parts.
