Indian archers win mixed team gold at Asian Cup

BANGKOK, Mar 27: Indian compound archers won the mixed team gold medal at the Asian Cup Stage 1 on Thursday. The pair of Priyansh and Jyothi Surekha Vennam defeated their Iranian opponents in the final.

In the women's team event, the Indian compound squad, featuring Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Parneet Kaur, and Aditi Swami, claimed the silver medal after a close final against Iran.

The men's compound team, consisting of Abhishek Verma, Prathamesh Fuge, and Priyansh, also reached the final but settled for the silver medal, losing to Iran. The event is a key competition for Asian archers ahead of the upcoming World Cup season.
