The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has concluded its 2026 Article IV consultations with Morocco, finding the country's economy continues to demonstrate "great resilience." The IMF's Executive Board noted that growth prospects remain solid, supported by dynamic domestic factors.

According to the IMF's assessment, Morocco's economic performance has been robust despite a challenging global environment. The authorities' reform agenda, particularly in strengthening social protection and fostering private sector-led growth, is seen as crucial for sustaining this momentum and enhancing the economy's resilience to future shocks.

The IMF commended Morocco's progress in reducing fiscal and external vulnerabilities. Continued implementation of structural reforms is expected to further boost competitiveness, attract investment, and create jobs, thereby promoting more inclusive and sustainable growth over the medium term.
