The International Criminal Court (ICC) announced on Friday that misconduct complaints against its chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, have been dismissed. The decision followed an external review by a panel of experts appointed by the court's presidency.

The complaints, which included allegations of bullying and conflicts of interest, were filed by staff members. The independent panel, led by former Canadian Supreme Court Justice Joseph Arvay, concluded that the evidence did not support the claims against Khan.

In a statement, the ICC presidency stated it had "full confidence" in Prosecutor Khan following the review's conclusions. The court emphasized its commitment to a respectful workplace and stated the process demonstrated its internal accountability mechanisms.

Karim Khan, a British lawyer, began his nine-year term as ICC prosecutor in 2021. The court, based in The Hague, is currently investigating several high-profile situations, including the war in Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas conflict.
