Viktor Hovland carded a 7-under 63 on Saturday to grab a one-stroke lead over world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler after the third round of the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut.
Hovland, who started the day two shots behind Scheffler, made eight birdies against a single bogey to reach 17-under 193 for the tournament. Scheffler, seeking his sixth win of the season, shot a 68 and is alone in second at 16 under.
Tom Kim of South Korea is third at 15 under after a 66. Defending champion Keegan Bradley is tied for fourth at 14 under with Akshay Bhatia.
The final round is scheduled for Sunday at TPC River Highlands.
