The House of Representatives Committee on Justice has formally invited Vice President Sara Duterte to attend a hearing concerning impeachment complaints filed against her. The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2026.
Committee chairman and Batangas 2nd District Representative Gerville Luistro confirmed the invitation was extended to the Vice President. The complaints, which allege culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust, were filed by several groups, including the group 'Lihok Pilipino'.
The hearing will proceed to determine the sufficiency in form and substance of the complaints, a necessary step before any impeachment proceedings can advance in Congress. The Vice President's office has not yet issued a public statement regarding her attendance at the hearing.
