The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 21-year-old jeepney driver on Commonwealth Avenue. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, April 13, 2026, while the victim, identified as John Paul B. Bautista, was changing a flat tire on his parked vehicle.
According to police reports, the suspect's vehicle, described as a white Toyota Vios, struck Bautista and fled the scene heading towards Fairview. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel.
The QCPD's Traffic Enforcement Unit has launched a manhunt for the driver. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and have appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
