Hind Zemmama, a Moroccan entrepreneur and mountaineer, is pursuing the ambitious goal of climbing the Seven Summits—the highest peaks on each continent. Her journey began with a successful ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro in 2022, followed by Aconcagua in 2023 and Elbrus in 2024.
In 2025, she attempted to climb Mount Everest and Lhotse in a single push, a feat known as the Everest-Lhotse traverse. However, due to weather conditions and logistical challenges, she did not complete the full traverse but reached the summit of Everest on May 20, 2025. She plans to return to complete Lhotse and continue her Seven Summits quest.
Zemmama's story highlights the growing presence of Moroccan women in extreme sports and mountaineering. She uses her climbs to inspire young Moroccans, especially women, to pursue their dreams despite societal barriers.
