Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has downplayed concerns over fixture congestion as his team pursues a domestic treble. Speaking ahead of their Premier League match against Crystal Palace, Guardiola said, 'It is what it is,' when asked about the rescheduling of games.
The Premier League announced new dates for City's matches against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, adding to an already packed schedule. City are competing in the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League, with the domestic treble still a possibility.
Guardiola emphasized that his team is focused on the task at hand and will not use the fixture list as an excuse. 'We have to adapt and play,' he said. 'The schedule is the same for everyone.'
City currently sit second in the Premier League table, three points behind leaders Arsenal with a game in hand. They also face Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals and have an FA Cup final against Manchester United on the horizon.
