The seedings were announced on April 30, 2026, based on regular-season performance and power rankings.
The Gretna boys, who have been a dominant force in Class A, will host district matches starting May 5. The Pius X girls, also in Class A, will begin their district play on the same date. Both teams are aiming for state tournament berths, with the NSAA state championships scheduled for May 14-16 at Morrison Stadium in Omaha.
Other top seeds include the Omaha Skutt boys in Class B and the Elkhorn South girls in Class A. The district tournaments will determine the final qualifiers for the state tournament, which features 16 teams per class.
