A Jewish man who was stabbed in the Golders Green attack has told the BBC he feels it is a miracle he survived. Speaking from hospital, Shloime Rand said: 'I feel like God's given me back my life.'
The attack occurred on 29 April 2026 in Golders Green, north London. The suspect, Essa Suleiman, 45, a British citizen who came to the UK from Sudan, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Rand described the attack as unprovoked and said he was grateful to be alive. 'It's a very big miracle,' he said. The incident has sparked concerns about anti-Semitic violence in the area, though police have not yet confirmed a motive.
