A man charged with the murder of his wife in Clifden last month has been found dead in Castlerea Prison, according to a Garda spokesperson.

Ali Sohrabi (35) was found dead in his prison cell earlier today, Wednesday, 26 June 2026. The Garda spokesperson told the Roscommon Herald that gardaí are investigating the circumstances of his death, and a post-mortem examination is expected to take place.
