The Gabonese government, Cimaf Gabon, and the Moroccan NGO Tibu Africa have signed a partnership agreement to promote education through sports in Gabon. The agreement was announced on July 16, 2026, in Libreville.
The initiative aims to integrate sports into the national education system, focusing on youth development and social inclusion. Tibu Africa, known for its work in using sports for education in Africa, will provide expertise and training programs.
Cimaf Gabon, a cement manufacturer, will fund the project as part of its corporate social responsibility. The partnership includes building sports infrastructure and training teachers to use sports as an educational tool.
This collaboration aligns with Gabon's national strategy to improve education outcomes and reduce youth unemployment through innovative approaches.
