Students from the BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) program at the Figeac agricultural high school in France recently completed an educational trip to Morocco's Atlas Mountains. The trip, which took place in early 2026, was organized as part of their studies in agricultural technology and sustainable development.
The objective was to immerse the students in a different agricultural context to study traditional and evolving farming methods. They visited local farms and cooperatives in the region to understand the challenges and adaptations related to water management, crop diversity, and soil conservation in a semi-arid mountain environment.
This international experience is designed to broaden the students' professional perspectives by comparing agricultural systems. Such exchanges are a recognized component of French agricultural education, aiming to prepare future technicians for global challenges in food production and environmental stewardship.
