Noël Le Graët resigned as president of the French Football Federation (FFF) in February 2023. His departure followed the publication of an audit by the French Ministry of Sports, which found he had made racist and sexist remarks and failed in his management duties.

The investigation, led by Inspector General Michel Cadot, concluded that Le Graët's behavior was incompatible with the presidency of the federation. The report cited inappropriate comments about Black players and a general climate of sexual harassment within the organization.

Le Graët had initially stepped back from his role in January 2023 after making dismissive comments about French football legend Zinedine Zidane. The subsequent audit accelerated calls for his permanent removal.

Philippe Diallo served as interim president following Le Graët's resignation. The scandal prompted widespread condemnation and calls for structural reform within French football's governing body to address systemic issues.
