Eight friends from the Aude region in southern France have successfully completed a 7,000-kilometer motorcycle journey to Senegal. The group, calling themselves 'Les Aventuriers de l'Aude,' departed from their hometown in late February 2026 and arrived in Senegal in early April.

Their expedition, undertaken on a mix of trail and adventure motorcycles, traversed multiple countries including Spain, Morocco, Mauritania, and finally Senegal. The route posed significant challenges, including navigating the Sahara Desert and remote West African terrain.

The primary goal of the journey was charitable. The riders transported over 100 kilograms of school supplies, including books, notebooks, and educational materials, which were delivered to a school in the rural community of N'Diébène Gandiol, near Saint-Louis, Senegal.

The adventure was self-funded by the participants and documented on social media, where they shared updates on their progress and the conditions of the roads and border crossings. The group emphasized the cultural exchanges and warm receptions they received in the villages along their route.
